Mekong delta is the southern most regions and the biggest delta of VN. 40.000sq km with two branches of Mekong River that is connected with a lot of canals like the water network. It is a green country that surrounded by plantations and imminence water rice fields. Boat is the local popular transportation. Here visitors have a good time to relax on the rowboat into small palm canals or at list enjoy moments of peace of the country site. Itinerary
Day 1: Saigon - My Tho - Ben Tre - Can Tho
8h00 AM Pick up at your hotel in Saigon city and drive to My Tho by private car/van. Take the motorboat cross the Mekong, stop over some island to visit the argriculture model of the local. Visit the coconut home land to enjoy coconut products (sweets..), experience the local music.
Most interest is relaxing in the row boat throw shade palm cannals .Lunch is a good chance for visiters enjoy the bests of this area. After finish boat trip round My Tho & Ben Tre. Car transfers visitors to Can Tho to get the accommodation (bungalow- home stay, hotel). Bungalow– home stay is highly recommended. Stay over night in bungalow, visitors will have a small party dinner with plenty of foods. It is also a good chance to experience the activities of the local by night in small village of Mekong.
Day 2: Can Tho ( Cai Rang Floating market )
Morning the boat will transfer visitors to the floating market (the biggest floating market in Mekong). Here thousands boat from small to big gather on a part of river to do their daily business with the agriculture produces like fruits and vegetables. (Many kind of fruits & vegetables of the tropic weather)
Later visitors will stop at the noodle and the rice husking milk village to see how the local produce their produces. Then boat made another cruises around the small country site of Can Tho before transferring visitor back the town. Car stops on the way back Saigon for lunch and rest. And finish 2 days adventure the delta trip about 17h00.
